No more left hand and arm pump from clutch work but with the OEM clutch lever / perch adjuster you can still use the clutch manually which is nice! Works great in technical terrain and also smooths whoops and rocks. No noticable change in engine breaking. No braking stalls, no stalls in twisty slow speed terrain. Super reliable and durable, easy to install, easy to adjust to your preferences. I'm and old school clutch working guy and never thought I would like one of these. I was wrong.

After hearing freinds rave about the Z Clutch I bought the first one made to fit my Husqvarna TE510. It made all the difference on tight trails where you would be constanly feathering the clutch. The bike never stalled in the slow technical stuff. I raced the 24 hours of Starvation Ridge with it and there it made a huge difference. You can forget about the clutch lever. You dont need it anymore. The installation was straight forward even being the prototype. Rekluse has an outstanding group of guys on the help line if you have trouble setting the installed gap. This entails installing everything and then measuring the gap between the pressure plate and the first friction plate. If it's off you take out 8 screws and add or subtract shims or plates. That's all there is to the install. For my bike it was the best modification I could have made.

It will take some adjustments to your riding style. You no longer have the ability to feather the clutch, using it as a rear wheel brake, should you stall the motor on a hill. The other drawback, flooding my DRZ in a lateral incursion and killing the battery, because with the Z-Start you no longer can bump-start your bike. I took their advise and switched to Rotello oil. I was impressed at how well it "holds back" on slow, steep downhills, even with the medium stall clutch spring installed . I would not throw away the clutch lever as they suggest can be done, because crash-boxing the tranny is difficult to do when you are up-shifting while off the throttle, you need to be able to clutch some times, which by the way, is much easier since there are no clutch springs. Overall, I think this would be a good product for anyone who does any type of off-roading , and I can see why it would be great on a Super- Moto bike. I guess time will tell if it will hold up in the long run.

I've had my clutch for exactly 1 year now. I'm a novice or C motocross'r. First race this year with clutch did not go so well. Stared with throttle off at gate drop to full throttle on. I got left in the dust. If you use your clutch handle and drop it with the gate you can kill anyone on the gate that doesn't have a rekluse. It's an unbelievable advantage for someone who is not good at feathering the clutch. Whoops are a ton easier. Exiting corners with a big double or jump after it is easier to hit. I was not sold on it at the beginning of the year, now you couldn't buy mine for what i bought it for. Cr 250 vet c, over 40 with 4 years riding time.
